Lamborghini CUV by sk8nrail Lamborghini CUV by sk8nrail
With all the Lamborghini excitement going on these days with the reventon and estoque concepts, I just found myself drawing one again. This is more of a CUV type proportion with Reventon-style surfacing/ graphics.

Brilliant rendering but I don't see many Lambo design cues in it....

I think if you look at Lambo's more recent concepts, such as the Reventon, you'll see the design cues.

nope... I see angular shapes and such, but thats something thats been used as far back as the Ford GT90.

The angles need to make certain lines that say LAMBO. To me, this is just angles... looks great but would never associate it with lambo.

Actually, the angles DON'T need to make certain lines that say Lambo. This was meant to be an evolutionary design, not something to closely complement their current portfolio. I could outline several key lines that are logical evolutions from current lambo designs such as the front inlets and the side cuts, but that's besides the point.

Also, nobody would've associated lambos current designs with their previous generations either...

I wasn't talking about association with previous generations, that would be stupid.

I'm talking abou association with Lambo... They never deviate from their cars looking LIKE LAMBOS... The Reventon, etc, they are all revoltionary but you can tell they're lambos.

So much for constructive critism... perhaps you should disable critique?

That's not necessary, this is still constructive. Perhaps I wasn't clear enough.

This is a vision of their NEXT generation. This is as logical a step forward from the reventon as the reventon was from the diablo. I would actually say this isn't nearly as big of a departure from those two cars either. Again, the philosophy in the surfacing and linework is a logical progression.

Put up a pic of the diablo and reventon and the only thing they really have in common is the side-profile, that's about it. Nobody would've expected the estoque either, but experimentation with the brand is necessary these days.

If you showed me the Reventon back in the days of the diablo, I'd know it was a lambo.

I don't see a lambo here, its just my opinion, why argue.

If you don't see it, that's completely fine! But arguing properly is a very good way to learn more. Professionals do it all the time, it's an art form in itself.
